Another year has gone by … and what a year it was! Haven’t been blogging at all, but I need to pen down my thoughts on New Year’s Eve.
This has got to be one of the best years so far, but there’s much more to achieve. So, what were the highlights?
- Company is growing pretty well, we more than doubled our revenue compared to last year, praise God! There’s so much favour from our clients, it can only be Him and because of Him.
- We finally got an office, a cosy little spot in Empire SOHO Subang. We took the top floor while Sern Yi took the bottom since he has more hires. Our floor is fully furnished with pretty nice tables and comfy chairs … something that I’m proud of. We bought office furniture!
- An opportunity to train students in mobile design at Lim Kok Wing, NYP/ITE Singapore and ITB Bandung. It was a pretty good experience, never thought one day I’d be going places to train students.
- An opportunity to work with huge brands and corporations.
- Our little booth at Nokia’s conference middle of the year in Singapore to showcase some of the things we’ve done.
- An article on the SME pullout of NST about our company!
- Things are going great with Yee See’s parents, thank God. A lot closer now than before … ahhhh to think of the worries I had before, now it just feels silly :)
- Mom’s healed from cancer!
- I bought a Macbook Pro to replace the old laptop I’ve been using. You know what’s funny? I am still using both laptops … it’s still kinda hard to fully switch to the Mac.
- Birthday planned by my dearest Yee See and paid for by Ow!!! :)
- Blessed Yee See and her guests for her birthday dinner. “You’re blessed to be a blessing”, I’ll hold on to this truth.
I’m pretty sure there were other highlights, I’m getting older, can’t remember them all!
What I’m looking forward to,
- An opportunity to travel to Europe or Australia, I’ve never been there. It could be for work or break; I dunno … I just wanna go.
- I need to build a stronger relationship with people around me, as I grow older I find my circle of friends getting smaller. That’s really sad. I get emo a little when the people I care about most aren’t around me physically anymore.
- Create the killer app that everyone would talk about. I don’t know what it is yet … you just have to wait :P
- Work out at the gym more! No excuse now ever since I reactivated my gym account after being freezing it for more than a year now.
- Gonna take less sugar and eat healthy (oh the irony, I had a super unhealthy dinner tonight, but that’s for this year!)
Ok, I don’t think those were resolutions … right? I couldn’t keep last year’s resolution hehe.
Oh yeah, Kanmani is back for a few days, I’m suppose to contact her, maybe I’ll give her a call tomorrow or something. I haven’t met Zack before, can you believe it?
Starting next week towards the end of the month I’ll be in Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Chiang Mai to train students at their local Uni on mobile design. I’ve been trying to enhance the teaching materials, but that proved to be a little challenging. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to the trip, there are still a few deadlines to meet next month. Ok, I need to stop being a worry wart.
Just got back from a trip to Singapore with a bunch of church friends, it's good to be doing tourist-sy things in Singapore other than work :D I had fun, so I guess all is good! Can't believe I'm going back there again next Sunday. We went to the Night Safari! I didn't think it could be that exciting hahaha
Ok, it's almost the New Year, gonna stop blogging. I’m gonna try to blog a lot more. Oh, we shall see if that happens.
