Goodbye 2009
[ 4:46 pm ] Ahhh … 2009, what an unexpected year you were. I started the year thinking I was in a job that I’d finally be able to retire in, only to find out later I practically lost all sense of financial security and tossed into career uncertainty. It was a good year nonetheless. If things didn’t turn out the way it did, I’d never get my lazy ass to shape and thought about my future seriously or even start a business. It was a year of LEARNING and trusting. I learned being a business owner isn’t as easy as some people put it. You put in a lot more hours than most people do. I realised then, why my ex-boss stayed back late at work most of the time. It’s great to finally understand and experience the same kind of passion. I’ve met a lot of new people this year. Don’t think I’ve met so many new faces in any year … I still find it hard to maintain the relationships. I’m still looking for quality friendships and not the quantity. So, its New Year’s Eve today, what am I doing at home? Honestly, I rather stay at home than stuck in traffic somewhere. Not to mention the crowd. Actually … I just got home from Cineleisure after spending some time with Kanmani. Haven’t caught up with her in a while, it was pretty good. Yee See wasn’t with us, she’s back in Raub. It’s so strange to see her finally settling down. I can’t picture it, neither could she hahahaha. I manage to get home before the mad rush :D What’s there to look for in 2010? I don’t know. 2009 was so unexpected … I dare not think about 2010, but I could hope right?I’d like to see our business grow beyond Malaysia.
Oh yeah, got back from a trip to Ipoh a few days ago. It was a pretty good trip up there. Note to self, try not to drive at night. My eyes were tired and I think my astigmatism is getting bad. Everyone seems to drive a lot more dangerously at night. Anyways, Yee See is supposed to do our resolutions together … or rather, we’re supposed to remind each other our resolutions. I wonder how well that’s gonna work out :P 0 comments Tuesday, December 22, 2009
Tis the season
[ 11:53 pm ] A little under the weather today. Haven’t been down with high fever for a long time now. Felt like really weak so I ended up sleeping the whole day. Maybe God just wants me to rest. *shrugs* It’s Weng and Siew Li’s wedding this coming Friday … on Christmas day! Last Christmas it was Zhi Qin’s wedding, that makes it 2 years in a row that I have to skip Christmas dinner. Weng asked that I have to give a speech … don’t really know what to talk about yet and Yee See has to translate to Mandarin. This should be fun, let’s see how fast she can catch up :P Maybe I’ll do it impromptu? Don’t really like preparing speeches. Its Christmas season and I’m still broke. Broke you say!? Yes. Broke. How’s that possible? Well, we haven’t received our payment yet, it’s taking FOREVER. I’m already raking up in debts. If they are sending us a cheque, it’s gonna take another 30 days to clear. Sigh. Our relationship with Nokia continues to grow, we’ve been asked to plan with them for Q1 tomorrow. I don’t mind throwing aside everything just to work on projects with them. I find myself being strangely optimistic lately. Yee See invited her parents for our Christmas play … if they intend to turn up. I dunno, to be honest, I’m not exactly comfortable around them. The things that they said still stuck on my mind. Oh well, best to have thick skin and stone face and not bothered with what was said. Time for bed, getting chills. 0 comments Archives nothing |
